First of all thank you to all of you who contributed to the United Way campaign.
We will be busy this week with many Thanksgiving activities. We will have our feast on Tuesday. Please do not send snack. The children have been busy preparing for this big event and are really excited. We will take pictures. We are also talking about what we are thankful for and what we are doing for Thanksgiving. We are busy preparing for Muffins for Mom. Can't wait to see you on Thursday.
We are working on sight words. The next nine weeks will be over at the end of Dec. and the children will be expected to recognize at least 20 sight words. Next week we will send you a list of the sight words we have introduced thus far. These are in addition to color and number words. Attached is the complete list of sight words we use this year and the ones from the GKids testing.Download GKIDS 100 words Download Sight word list 2
What a wonderful time we had at fall festival The children enjoyed everything from the obstacle course, face painting, decorating cookies and decorating pumpkins and all the other activities. A great big thanks to all the parents who helped us!!! We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween. Don't forget the time change!
It is hard to believe that we have been in school for 50 dys. We all dressed up like the 50s and did many things that day related to the 50s. Did you know play dough, the hula hoop and Barbie all came from the 50s? We had floats like they did in the 50s.
We finished our unit on community helpers by all dressing up as a community helper!!!!
