Welcome to Our Cass!!!!

We are so excited that school is starting. It is going to be a great year in our class. We can't wait to meet all of you. We will see everyone Thursday at Meet and Greet. Then Thursday night at 7 we will meet with parents only to tell them about our class and what to expect. Then on Monday morning Kindergarten will begin. I know you are all busy getting ready so we will see you soon Check our blog often for things that are going on and important information. We will talk about the blog at Open House

Taffel's Picnic

What a lovely day we had to have a picnic. It was wonderful to see all the families that came to help us celebrate a fantastic year.

Letter People Program

Our Letter People program was fantastic!! The children did a fantastic job. Take a look at all our pictures.

Taffel at the Farm

Our trip to Cagle Farm was absoultely perfect. Everyone had a great time. We saw the cows being milked. We fed the goats and calves. We rode the hayride out to the field where the mother cows were waiting to have their babies. We saw the dog herd the cows. We learned how they milk the cows and then put them in bottles to go to the store. We then had a great picnic with milk straight from the Cagle cows.  The weather was perfect.

Taffel's Wedding

Take a peek at the wonderful wedding of Mr. Q and Miss U. Mr. Q could not make words without Miss U. We had a wonderful time and the reception was beautiful!!!!

What We have been doing!!!

The class has been so excited as we talked about dinosaurs!!! Now we are getting ready for two upcoming events....Mr. Q and Miss U's wedding and Eating of the Green. Look out for our pictures!!! We are really working hard on money and addition. We will be testing the Dolch words this week. We are also going to have our second spelling test. Look for more news................

A Fun Week

This week we had fun learning about Penguins. What a fantastic animal. We found where the Penguins' habitat and how they ljve. Look at the penguins we made and ate. YUM!!!!!! Then we had a bears come to school and visit. We got to eat teddy grahams with our bears!!! We loved sharing our bears. We did some great writing about the bears.                                    

rEADING IS FUN WITH RAZ-KIDS

I hope all of you have had a chance to look at Raz-Kids the wonderful reading on-line program that the Foundation purchased for us. At conferences I explained how to get in and what to do. We sent home the bookmarks to help you. The children should do this about three times a week. This should be done without your help so we can see how they read independently and how they comprehend. If your child is having trouble go back a level so they can succeed. The more they read the better readers they will become.  Have fun!!!!
