Your child is a member of his/her own book club. The book clubs in our classroom work just like an abult book club. Each group has read a chapter book. Weekly meetings were held to discuss various ideas/topics regarding the book. Your child had his/her own job to do within the book club.
Now that the groups have completed the readings and discussions, they are creating projects to extend their knowledge of the book. These projects are individual and are to be completed at home. Your child has been given a rubric and guidlines for the project he/she has decided to complete. Please ask your child about his/her project. I know they are all excited to see what they can create.
These projects are due on Friday, March 28. If you have any questions or comments about the project, please feel free to send me an email.
Please help your child make healthy choices for snacks. We have had a class discussion about healthy choices regarding types and quantities of food. I am no longer allowing unhealthy snacks to be eaten during snack time (cookies, chips, candy).
As most of you already know, we will be having our Winter Party on Thursday, December 20 at 12:45. All family members are welcome to attend...the more the merrier!!!
Congratulations!!! Your children helped raise $600.00 for United Way!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!! Please check out our newsletter for November and December.
This is a webquest that we are working on in class this week.
Parents,
Please remember that your child will not have any homework this week due to testing. Therefore, it will not be necessary for your child to have his/her agenda signed.
Don't forget: Testing continues next week with the CRCT. Please make sure your child is getting plenty of sleep and eating a healthy breakfast each morning.
