Your child brought home the reading calendar this week.
Please be sure your first grader is reading at least 15 minutes each night.
Your minutes on RAZ KIDS and sight word practice also count toward your reading minutes. At the end of the month please send in your calendar with your total minutes for September.
Last week I sent you an email containing the passwords for 3 websites that can be used at home.
The links for RAZ-KIDS and the Harcourt Math Learning site are also on the side of the blog. This may be an easy way for your child to find the websites. Many of the children are already finding time to practice reading and math skills online. What a fun way to learn!!!

Last week we went over our new rules and routines. Be sure to ask your child about the 123 LINE. Our Mt. Bethel Buccaneer Treasure Hunt was a big success. We learned how to get around the entire building and discovered some special treasure in the Computer Lab. This year we will definitely UNLOCK the treasure chest of learning! We are off to a great start in FIRST GRADE!!
