3. Map of North America as a practice sheet. Divide the map into the cultural regions (6). Label them with Eastern Woodlands, Plains, Southwest, Plateau, Northwest and Far North. Then label the 6 Native American tribes in the correct places. (Inuit, Kwakiutl, Nez Perce, Pawnee, Hopi, Seminole.) Use your own copy of the map with icons to correct your practice. Comparatives (Words to compare) - smaller, fresher, smoother, older, younger, later, sooner, stronger, brighter.

TEST: Friday, December 11

HOMEWORK:

Monday- cut out the words on workbook p 63 and put in envelope at the back of the workbook.

Tuesday- Write the words in ABC order.

Wednesday- do workbook p. 66.

Thursday- Study for spelling sort 16.

PIE DAY

Pie Day was a wonderful success and a great kick-off to the Thanksgiving holidays. Unfortunately, I was unable to be at school that day due to Science training. However, I was told that all went well and that the students had a wonderful and tasty time. Thank you for being conscious of the various nutrition issues we have in my classroom. I need to give a big thank you to the following people:

MBESF Dream Factory

Many thanks to all of you for contributing to this year's Annual Patron Program here at Mount Bethel. The Foundation does so many wonderful things for the students and teachers at this school. We are very fortunate to have such an active foundation. However, the Foundation can't work without all of you!

Many thanks to Becky Ensley for serving as our Council Representative on the Foundation. I feel that it was due to her efforts that our class had such good participation-59%! I am very excited about the spa gift certificate that your participation earned for me. I have to be honest, I have never been to the spa before. So thanks to you all who helped make that possible.

Classroom winners were chosen by the 4th Grade team of teachers. (Teachers did not choose in their own classroom.) The good news is that after the men from the Sons of the American Revolution were here to judge the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for the entire 4th grade, Madison's poster has disappeared. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
