Welcome to the Mt. Bethel and Cobb County Science Olympiad Site!

Our Science Olympiad program at Mt. Bethel is sponsored by our Foundation and involves hands-on experimenting, indepth scientific research and independent study. Only students who are self-starters, motivated and mature are accepted. During the year, Mt. Bethel Science Olympians work together as a team and prepare to compete against other teams in Cobb County. After the County competition, the team prepares to compete against other teams from all over the State of Georgia.

2012 - 2013 Mt. Bethel Science Olympiad Application

If you are interested in being on the 2012-2013 Mt. Bethel Science Olympiad team you will need to:

1. Reserve a space at the Science Fair on October 2nd.

2. Download and fill out the attached application and turn it in by the September 21st deadline to one of the S.O. coaches listed on the application.

3. Be avaliable at the Science Fair to explain your science project as the judges come around.

2013 Cobb County Science Olympiad Events, Dates and Information

UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR!

The date for the Cobb County Science Olympiad is March 2nd at Walton High School.

The State Science Olympiad is May 18th at Kennesaw State University.

There will be a limit of two (2) teams per school at County and State competitions.

A team consists of 18 people. A maximum of 8 of these can be fifth graders. The balance can be fourth or third graders.

If an event listed in the SO Manual for a particular event requires only 1 person - you may send 2 people. However, unless the event physically requires more than 1 person (for example, Reflection Relay physically requires 3 participants to conduct the event) you may have less people at the event.
