Calling all artists and art lovers - Mt. Bethel‘s Green Team will host its annual Trashy Art exhibit in November in recognition of America Recycles Day, which occurs on November 15.
Students are encouraged to create reused or recycled artwork by turning trash into beautiful treasures. The artwork will be dis-played and prizes will be awarded.
So, what can you make from junk mail, soda bottles, or yogurt cups? How about those old toy parts or broken electronics? Need some inspiration?Check out recycled art ideas on the websites below:
The Trash Matcher - Select the type of trash you have (cardboard, cans, etc) and match it to a fun art project!
Trashasaurus Rex – This giant trashy dinosaur was created by attaching thousands of pieces of trash to a paper maiche T-Rex.
Submit your Trashy Art exhibit piece on the morning of November 10 in the cafeteria. Label the piece with your name, grade, and teacher‘s name.
