Gifted Learners ~ Thu, Nov 29th

All are invited to attend this free presentation, which is a segment of the "Putting the Pieces Together Lecture Series" sponsored by the PTA East Cobb Chapter for Exceptional Children.

Creative Re-use Contest ~ entries Wed, Nov 14th

RecyclingHey Buccaneers! If you have ever wrapped a birthday present with newspaper, then you have participated in creative re-use!

In honor of our efforts to go green, Mt. Bethel is celebrating America Recycles Day with a Creative Re-use contest!

What can you make with a soda can and an old magazine? How about a cereal box and a toilet paper roll? We want to see all of your inspired ideas!Green_team_2

Contest entries will be received on November 14 in the cafeteria by a Recycling Committee representative. Please bring your entry to school that morning only, labeled with your name, grade, and teacher's name. 

The winners will be announced November 15 on America Recycles Day.  First, second, and third place winners will be showcased in the school's display case.  Winners also will receive a Mt. Bethel Green Team water bottle and credit for the Spirit Shop.

Habitat Cleanup ~ Sun, Nov 11th

Habitat We're looking forward to seeing Mt. Bethel families at the annual Fall Habitat Cleanup.  Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 11, from 1:00 - 4:00pm and meet us in the woods behind the general parking lot.  Please bring some gloves, contractor bags, and any yard tools that could be useful - rakes, gas-powered blowers, and weed eaters are especially helpful.  Drinks and other supplies will be provided.

Fun Run & Health and Safety Fair ~ Sat, Nov. 10th

November 10th...One day, Two fun activities!!

Fun Run

5 K begins at 8:00am

1 Mile begins at 9:00am

1/2 Mile “Kindergarten Trot” follows 1 Mile

Everyone wanted! Help us get this year off to a “running” start.  All registered Fun Run participants will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt.  To guarantee a T-shirt for race day, please turn in your applications along with your race registration fee of $10 by October 18.  A late registration fee of $15 must accompany any orders turned in after the 18th.

Enjoy the Mt. Bethel Health and Safety Fair while you're hanging around at the Fun Run!  Saturday, November 10th, 7:00am-10:00am, Multi Purpose Room

We will have fun and information for the whole family, including: healthy snacks, safety tips, a wide variety of vendors, activities, giveaways, and samples.  Many of the exhibits will be interactive this year.
