BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY~MON, OCT 19

Bus Driver Appreciation Day is a great day for us to say "thank you" to our bus drivers. They work hard every day at keeping our children safe. Please take time to do something special for your bus driver, such as kind words of appreciation, a special treat, or a home-made card.

Red Ribbon Week ~ Oct 26-30

Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide program that teaches our children about the dangers of drugs and substance abuse. Mt. Bethel will observe Red Ribbon Week from October 26-30.

Girl Scout troops will assist by decorating the campus with red ribbons and banners.

Fun Run/Health and Safety Fair ~ Sat. Nov 7

November 7th...One day, Two fun activities!!

Fun Run

5 K begins at 8:00am

1 Mile begins at 9:00am

1/2 Mile “Kindergarten Trot” follows 1 Mile

Everyone wanted! Help us get this year off to a “running” start. All registered Fun Run participants will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt. To guarantee a T-shirt for race day, please turn in your applications along with your race registration fee of $15 by October 16. A late registration fee of $20 must accompany any orders turned in after the 16th.

Health & Safety Fair

Enjoy the Mt. Bethel Health and Safety Fair while you're hanging around at the Fun Run!  Saturday, November 7th, 7:00am-10:00am, Multi Purpose Room

We will have fun and information for the whole family, including: healthy snacks, safety tips, a wide variety of vendors, activities, giveaways, and samples. Many of the exhibits will be interactive this year.

Trashy Art Contest ~ Entries due Nov 10

Calling all artists and art lovers - Mt. Bethel‘s Green Team will host its annual Trashy Art exhibit in November in recognition of America Recycles Day, which occurs on November 15.

Students are encouraged to create reused or recycled artwork by turning trash into beautiful treasures. The artwork will be dis-played and prizes will be awarded.

So, what can you make from junk mail, soda bottles, or yogurt cups? How about those old toy parts or broken electronics? Need some inspiration?

The Trash Matcher - Select the type of trash you have (cardboard, cans, etc) and match it to a fun art project!

Trashasaurus Rex – This giant trashy dinosaur was created by attaching thousands of pieces of trash to a paper maiche T-Rex.

Submit your Trashy Art exhibit piece on the morning of November 10 in the cafeteria. Label the piece with your name, grade, and teacher‘s name.

The exhibit will be on display during the week while judges cast their votes.
