Robin Lattizori--Georgia PTA Outstanding Principal!

Kicball31 Congratulations, Mrs. Lattizori!  Our wonderful principal was honored by the Georgia State PTA as an Outstanding Principal for 2004-2005!  Ten principals statewide were chosen for their excellence in support of parent and community involvement at their respective schools.  Mrs. Lattizori was honored at a banquet Saturday evening, April 30th, during the Georgia State PTA Convention held at the Gwinnett Convention Center.

School Of Excellence Award for Parent Involvement

School_of_excellence_3The Mt. Bethel PTA has been presented with the School of Excellence Award for Parent Involvement!

This distinction was awarded in April 2007, and will be up for renewal in the 2009-2010 school year!! 

Not many schools receive this recognition at the National PTA level!  Thanks to the committee for all their diligence and hard work in collecting the data and completing the lengthy application process!!

Jim Morris--PTA Phoebe Hearst Outstanding Educator

Mr_morrisEach year, this award recognizes the faculty member who best demonstrates professional excellence and commitment to the Purpose of the National PTA and the Objectives of the Mt. Bethel Elementary PTA. 

Mr. Morris, 5th grade teacher, will serve as the faculty liaison with our PTA for the 2007-2008 school year.  He will attend PTA Board and general meetings, as well as other functions sponsored by our PTA.  Sincere congratulations, Mr. Morris!! 

Above and Beyond

Created in 2000, the PTA's Above and Beyond Award has been given annually to a parent or parents who have demonstrated ongoing commitment and support to the school and to the PTA. 

Nancy Alavi and Michele Martin are the 2006-2007 recipients!  Thank you for your wonderful support of Mt. Bethel!

Last year's award was given to Evanne Brock for her outstanding work as Clinic Chair. 

Baby Bell Award

The Baby Bell Award was created in 2005 to recognize first year committee chairs who have demonstrated a special enthusiasm for their position.

For 2006-2007, we are honoring Kari Squire, Cindy Cabral and Wendy Giglio.  We appreciate all of your hard work! 

The 2005-2006 ecipients were Celia Lawton who served as Showcase Chair and Melanie Simon who served as Bugle editor.

Bell Award

Since 1994, the PTA's Bell Award has been given each year to a person or persons who have shown leadership, initiative, innovation, exhibited significant "firsts" and have been involved with the PTA for more than one year. 

The 2006-2007 recipients were Becky Williams and Jennifer Newsome.  Congratulations!

Dr. Jeanelle Brown Award

Established in 1996, the Dr. Jeanelle Brown Award has been presented annually to an individual who, for the benefit of children, walks hand in hand with the Mt. Bethel PTA and the Mt. Bethel Foundation.  Collaboratively selected, the award recipient is a person who has genuinely supported both organizations wholeheartedly for many years.

The well-deserved 2007 recipient was Vonda Shoemaker.  Congratulations, Vonda!  Thank you for your outstanding work!

Mt. Bethel's PTA Wins State, District, and Council Awards!
