Dr. Vicki Bunke – Studies show that regular physical activity may increase the production of cells in the hippocampus, the region of the brain involved in learning and memory. The end result is a brain that's better able to perform in school. This workshop will address how we can help our children boost their brain power through regular exercise.

How can you help your child have more energy, sleep better, and just generally be happier? There is a lot of information “out there” about what to feed your kids and it can be really confusing. Vicki Steine, LCSW will help you understand what some of the best foods are to help to keep your child’s brain functioning optimally.

How Your Child's Cognitive Skills Affect Learning and Reading – Kristen Thompson will identify seven important cognitive skills and how they impact learning, processing and retaining information. Reading and math skills are linked directly to the way our brains process information. She will talk about what you are seeing with your child and what you can do about it!

Jonathan Jolles- Anxiety 101:
What is anxiety? Understanding the difference between typical worry and symptoms of anxiety. Explanation about the different types of anxiety children may experience. Help your child deal with test anxiety. Strategies offered for parents to help children reduce symptoms. Get all of this great information before the CRCTs!
