Art Parent
Be an Art Parent!
The Mt. Bethel PTA is seeking moms and dads to serve as Art Parents in their child's classroom. It's fun and simple...and you don't need to be an artist!
You spend about 15 minutes discussing an artist or style, and about 20-30 minutes doing a simple, but related project.
There are binders and books available that are filled with plans and ideas. It is a very easy way to be involved inside your child's classroom....and the kids really look forward to it!
After your Art Parent lesson, please complete the attached form and place it in the lesson binder in the Art Parent supply closet. This will help other parents benefit from your great ideas! Click here for form.

Bare Books
Thanks to the Bare Books program, teachers can order blank books for their students to publish original work!

Big Help
Big Help is a PTA sponsored community service club for third, fourth and fifth graders. Work with the kids to organize monthly meetings and assist them with selecting community projects.

Our clinic needs you!
Volunteers needed to assist with assembling first aid kits the first two weeks of school. Also, as needed throughout the year, i.e. field day. No experience necessary.

Help organize and promote the outreach efforts for our community and sister school, Powers Ferry Elementary.
There will be projects throughout the year. Volunteers for sister school events, classroom readers, and assisting with Accelerated Reader testing.

Mt. Bethel's Copy Crew provides copies for the teacher. This is a greatly appreciated and valuable service to our teachers!

Cultural Celebrations of the World
Love culture and teaching?
Join this committee and help set up exhibits representing various cultural events and activities from around the world. Need volunteers who can provide items for the exhibits, are good with visual displays and who can be hostesses for the event. November/December.

Want to help but only have time outside of school hours?
This is a great committee for you! Help compile, proofread and distribute the student directory. This is a short commitment in the Fall.

The display case is a great way for kids, teachers and parents to learn more about what Mt. Bethel has to offer. Plus, it's easy! You supply the materials, and the Showcase chair will make it look terrific!

Mt. Bethel's own 5K race!

Help to beautify our habitat on our bi-annual clean up days. Spread pine straw, trim bushes, and collect litter.
This is a Saturday event and a great way to help the school while having a great time.

The Health & Safety Fair takes place at the school on the same Saturday as the Fun Run.

This is the committee for you! Several times during the year we provide food items for our teachers, special guests, and host special events.

Kindergarten Helpers
Love the sight of a new Kindergartner getting off that bus for the first time?
The Kindergarten Helper committee can use your help. Assist our newest students the first week of school. Guide the children from the morning bus to their classrooms and help them with their trays at lunch.
Kindergarten Helpers cannot be current Kindergarten parents.

It's Pizza Night!!
Help organize and implement the monthly Pizza Night fundraiser. Volunteers help send out fliers each month, collect the receipts that come back and organize a pizza party for the class that orders the most pizza each month.

National PTA Contest
The Reflections contest is an annual content held by the national PTA. The contest is theme related and consists of literature, music, photography and visual arts produced by the students.
Volunteers are needed to help display the entries, put up posters, and promote the projects to the classes.

Get the school year started with everything you need....

Yearbook
Get your pictures in the Yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites teachers and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school events, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
Here is how you can submit photos online:
- Go to: https://images.jostens.com/login?user=400113311&pw=yearbook
- Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload (you can upload up to 10 images at a time)
- Check the “Terms and Conditions” box and click upload
- Enter your contact information (in case the Yearbook staff needs additional information)
- Enter image information: first name, last name, grade, description…we don’t do a student index so you may enter your own name or teacher name in the first/last name fields. Description is important to us so that we can properly place the image (Class/Teacher Name, Fun Run, Chorus, Science Olympiad, etc.)
- Click Save Details
It's that easy! Submit your photos today! Please upload photos as you take them so we can begin creating the pages right away. The final day to submit photos is 1/15/2012 (but don’t wait…submit them today!!).
