Dear Mt. Bethel Families and Friends,
We are excited about the PTA programs that are underway at Mt. Bethel for this year and hope that you and your family will find the perfect opportunities to be Hands on Mt. Bethel! Here are a few of the PTA programs that have been happening around Mt. Bethel Elementary:
- Sail into Reading was a huge success in getting our students to read, read, read – while at the same time, funding our PTA programs for the year! Thank you to everyone that participated in our first education-based fundraiser.
- The Big Help Club has kicked off the year and is focused on teaching our children to become involved with community outreach and volunteerism.
- The Spiritwear orders are in and our students are showing their Mt. Bethel spirit each Friday at school by wearing their favorite Mt. Bethel apparel.
- Our Parent Ed Committee has kicked off its Lunch and Learn series.
- The Exceptional Child Awareness Committee kicked off a Coffee Chat series.
- The National PTA Reflections program encouraged our children to express their creativity with the theme, Diversity means….
- The Fall Book Fair, Red Ribbon Week, and Conference Week are all underway.
There are also some exciting annual PTA events up ahead in November:
- Our Visiting Author, Kelly DiPucchio on November 3-4.
- The 25th Annual Fun Run and Health and Safety Fair on November 12.
We also hope to see each one of you at the next PTA General Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on November 3. The official mascot of the Atlanta Falcons, Freddie Falcon, will be hosting a Fuel Up to Play 60 Pep Rally immediately following the General Membership business. It will be a fun night that you won’t want to miss!
With almost 3 months of the school year behind us, we hope that you have all had the opportunity to Join Us! There is more power in numbers and by joining the PTA, you give the PTA authority to advocate for your child on the local, state, and national levels. Together, we are a strong and powerful voice for all children! We look forward to seeing you around Mt. Bethel and always welcome your feedback. We can be contacted at co-presidents@mtbethelpta.org.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Cooper and Tricia Nodar
