Hi!

                       Happy Holidays!!!

We have spent a great deal of time working in our math and language arts spiral notebooks.  These will come home at the end of next week.  I think you'll enjoy browsing through them.  We will need new notebooks at the first of the year.  It might be easier to send these in next week so that you won't have to worry about it over the vacation!  The children also need a dozen sharpened pencils!  I always keep a container of sharpened pencils available so that the children can just go get one if they need it during the day.  Plain yellow pencils are perfect.  THANKS!!

We attended the special Cultural Arts Celebration on Monday afternoon.   The PTA has done a fabulous job of setting up this special room for our enjoyment.  We learned about many holidays around the world.

Our winter holiday centers will be on Tuesday, December 19 from 9:15 - 10:30!  All parents are invited.  Adults only, please!  Our theme will be snowmen. 

This month's optional report is something different!  I told the children to imagine they had received a very special gift.  They get to go on a vacation of their choice!  They should learn about the place they would like to visit.  The children can either write a report, a book, make a poster, or create a pamphlet about this place.  It can be anywhere in the world!  These are due on December 20!
