Hello everybody!
I apologize for the delay in this week's posting. I had some trouble with Typepad.
Yesterday I had a great time telling a story at Reader's Theater. Several teachers perform each year. The children had a great time. I only wish that I could do this and be in my own classroom at the same time!
Next week we will get back to normal. I apologize for being out twice in a week. I hope the children didn't mind too much. Everything seemed to go smoothly.
President's Day is on Feb. 20. We'll learn about George Washington and Abe Lincoln in class. Our optional reports Don't forget math practice! We are going to begin weekly timed tests in order to practice math tests. This nine weeks the addition problems will go through sums of 15 and we'll now add subtraction facts up to ten. You will be able to watch the progress during the nine weeks. We'll continue to practice in class. Please continue at home as well. Subtraction facts are always difficult. I will be sending home extra sheets for your child to practice. Feel free to make extra copies if you would like.
will be about any other president! The children can again share any type of report or book with the class. Any type of report is fine. The reports are due on Tuesday, February 28. I can't wait to see them!
Have a great weekend!
