Auditions for the Spring Musical, Captain Louie, Jr., will take place on Tuesday, November 17, for fifth grade and Wednesday, November 18, for fourth grade. Auditions will be held from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Drama Classroom.
Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons starting December 1, 2009.The show will be performed March 12-14, 2010, on the Dodgen Middle School stage. Please note the date change!

The Cobb County Board of Education approved a balanced calendar for the 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years during its Nov. 11, 2009 meeting. Each school year will begin the first week of August and end the Friday prior to Memorial Day in May. The 180-day balanced calendar includes one-week mid-term breaks for students and teachers in September and February and a full week of Thanksgiving holidays. Thanks to the Lowes Toolbox Foundation who gave a $4,500 grant for exercise equipment and to Charles Hodges Ltd. Gardens for designing the courtyard and track.
Planning has begun for Mt Bethel’s Cultural Celebrations, which will be held on December 7-11. During this week, students will develop an awareness of their own heritage as well as an appreciation for the customs and contributions of people around the globe.We would like to invite parents and community members with artifacts, resources, information, and/or expertise in these areas to please join in on this exciting endeavor.

The annual fall Habitat clean-up is this Sunday, November 8th, from
2:00-5:00 p.m. Grab the family and bring gloves, rakes, and trimmers
if you have them along with plenty of enthusiasm for a fun day working
in our great Habitat!
On Saturday morning, November 7th, grab your new T-shirts, join in the Fun Run, eat some healthy snacks, and learn some safety tips for you and your family!
5K begins at 8am, 1 mile begins at 9am, 1/2 mile "Kindergarten Trot" follows 1 mile. Fun Run race day registration is available, beginning at 7am. The entry fee is $20.
Come stroll through the fair, pick up a few freebies, and sample the bagels, bananas, oranges, and smoothies as you wait for your race to begin.

This year's play, "The Comedy of Errors," will feature 60 students in grades four and five. The plot deals with two sets of brothers who were separated when a terrible storm wrecked the ship they were traveling on. When one set of siblings decides to search for their missing kin...there is a real "comedy of errors" as their identities become confused. We hope you will join us to see how this craziness is resolved!
Allen O'Reilly, the Educational Director of Georgia Shakespeare, has been joining our cast and crew twice a week for
instruction in acting, historic correctness, and understanding of the
bard! Mrs. Silverman, Mrs. Levitt, Mrs. Malone, and Mrs. Marks are the
producers.
