May Madness

AWESOME AUSTRALIA  (Social Studies)

We are going "down under" to study Australia next week. We have guest speakers coming to present to our class. Fun activities are also planned.

Important Dates:

May 5: "Drumming Up Stories"-Performing Arts program here at Mt. Bethel featuring interactive stories from around the world

May 9: All library books due

May 11: Mother's Day (The children are working very hard on a "special" project  especially for you!)

May 12: Ms. Jordan's Choir Performance

                    Reader's Theater( a few teachers will present stories)

May 13: Encore Theater Performance (here)

May 14: Australia Actvities

Representative from Cobb County Library will present information regarding their Summer Reading Program (afternoon)

May 19-23: Reading is Hot, Hot, Hot (More information will follow

                  Board Game Day- Bring a  favorite board game to teach/play/think critically/strategize

May 20: Field Day (8:00-10:30) Remember to wear class t-shirt; sunscreen and bring water bottle clearly marked with name.

             Autographing in afternoon- yearbooks & memory sheets

May 21: End of Year Party 12:30-1:10 (classroom)

May 22: Class READ-A-THON- students bring 3-4 favorite books from home

May 23: Last of School- leave your backpacks at home!
