Happy Thanksgiving

Parents,

  I just wanted to take the time to let each of you know that I am extremely grateful for each of your students. Their enthusiasm and excitement for learning is so contagious. Parents that you so much for all you do to prepare them for school. We have so much to be thankful for. Please enjoy the holiday and count your blessings...one being the gift of your child. Speaking of children, Vince and I will be expecting "Chase" real soon. I know he will be a blessing to us both. I feel like my students are is big brothers and sisters. They are so excited about his arrival. Rest up and get ready to dive into December once you return. I have so much planned for your child. Also, I enjoyed the conferences and felt they each went very well. I always enjoy sharing and boasting about your child's performance in school.

Our Market Day was hit. I have so many young entrepeanuers who were busy making as much money as possible. Maybe they will save our economy. Market Day is such a valuable lesson in economics which the students will study about later on. I enjoyed their excitement and loved all the products that were sold.

I just want to take this time to thank everyone for participating in the "Boosterthon Fun Run." Our class raised a numeruous amount of money. Ten percent of what we earned will come back to our class. I will be able to purchase some needed items for our classroom. Thank you parents for allowing your child to help in this memorable event.

Also, thank you for making my 40th birthday an enjoyable event. Kristi Bradley and Vanessa Emmenegger did a great job organizing and planning this milestone surprise. My birthday cards were adorable and we spend 40 minutes sharing those. The gift and special lunch from Panera made me feel wonderful and "Baby B" enjoyed his broccoli cheese soup. Once again, thank you for all you do!

The Mt. Bethel Elementary School Foundation is charging the 10 billion neurons in your child's noggin and we need your help! Your youngest child will receive an information packet on the educational enrichment opportunities provided by the MBESF, as well as a personalized donor card in his/her backpack.

Parents-

The field trip at Mt. Bethel is still happening. Remember that it is at Mt. Bethel. They can make a regular school lunch choice if they want. It will not affect our lunch time. Please read the attached letter that contains all the information needed to attend.

I have not heard if we are having school tomorrow. Please listen to the news or surf the web for school closings. If there is no school, the field trip will be rescheduled for another time.

New to Mt. Bethel - Fresh Fruit Fridays!  Beginning September 18th, Fresh Fruit will be available on the ASP desk for children from 8:30, until it is gone!

We need your help!

We are looking for parents to sponsor a Fresh Fruit Friday!  For only $30, you can honor your child's birthday, a teacher, a grandparent, or someone else special to you!  Email healthyhabits@metbethelpta.org with the date and who you will be honoring.

A sign on the ASP desk will announce who sponsored, or who is honored by Fresh Fruit Friday!  Don't miss out on your chance to make a difference!

Boosterthon Thank You!

Dear Mt. Bethel Friends and Families,

Thank you all for supporting the Boosterthon Fundraiser!! It was a huge success and it is because of the families and friends of Mt. Bethel Elementary that our school continues to be "Anchored in Excellence." Please remember that you have another chance to turn in your pledge for the laps that your child/children ran during the Boosterthon Fun Run. Thursday, September 17th is last day to turn in your collections. Please send your pledges in by this date. You may send cash or a check made out to Mt. Bethel PTA. A big plus for our awesome teachers, they will receive 10% of the collection from their class. Again, thank you all for continuing to support our programs.
