Mt. Bethel student authors are invited to submit their stories for the Challenger Publishing Program. This program allows students in any grade to submit an original story that will be "published" with the assistance of a volunteer parent "editor" who will review and refine the stories. The final product will be a bound, hard back book of all student stories, which will be kept in the Media Center.
The story submission deadline is February 17, 2012.

To participate: A student will write a story, 5-7 pages typed, if possible. Place an Author Info Sheet and a printed copy of the student's "manuscript" into a manila envelope labeled on the outside with name, grade, home phone, email, and teacher. Place the labeled envelope into the "Challenger Publishing" basket in the Media Center. (The basket is by the check out desk.)
An "editor" will call the student to begin editing their work.
Registration for all students entering a Cobb County kindergarten or first grade class for the first time in 2012-2013 will be conducted on Wednesday, March 28, 2012.

Sponsor a Fresh Fruit Friday for someone you would like to honor at Mt. Bethel. Fresh fruit from Whole Foods Market will be delivered to the honoree's class to be shared with all students. The honored person will be announced on Mt. Bethel a.m., the Bugle, and on the Fresh Fruit Fridays signage. What a great way to start a Friday morning for someone you love or want to recognize at Mt. Bethel!
