We need EVERY family attending Mt. Bethel next year to enter or update their existing contact information in the Toolkit ASAP, even if you've already purchased your pre-sale items! This information helps teachers get started with the new year, so entering your information helps everyone - including you!
Double check phone numbers, email addresses, and update your child(ren)'s grade level.
July 30th is Meet & Greet. Please respect your teachers' time and complete your classroom visit within the hour assigned to your family. This will allow them to prepare for the next group and stay on schedule.
Basic School Supplies are different from Pre-sale items. Basic School Supplies include items like pencils, crayons, paper, etc. You may purchase these supplies on your own or online through EPI. To order online, go to www.epipacks.com and enter the school ID: MOU175. This online option is a time saving convenience; PTA does not earn income from these orders. Drop off these supplies in your classroom at Meet & Greet on July 30th. The Basic School Supply list for you to print and shop on your own can be found at: mtbethel.blogs.com.
If ordering, EPI will ship supplies to your home the week of July 13th. EPI will take orders through June 26th.
Thanks to all parents, teachers and other supporters who attended the Challenger Publishing Authors' Celebrations! All 97 stories have been distributed to each student author with an extra copy given for any teacher dedications. The hardcover book containing all stories has been placed on the shelf in the Learning Commons. Thanks to all students who participated and to all who supported the program.
Pig Tales Summer Writing Competition!
The Cobb Schools Foundation is pleased to partner with the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department and the Cobb County Public Library System to offer the third annual “Pig Tales” summer Writing Competition presented by SCANA Energy.
The competition is open to all students in grades K-8 attending any public, private or home school in Cobb County. Students are invited to write a short story or essay, in 750 words or less, about their favorite trip to the beach or a dream island vacation. Work can be fiction or non-fiction. Students are limited to one entry.
NEW FOR 2015! The Cobb County Public Library System will be hosting writing workshops at various branches this summer, as well as providing a list of popular “beach reads” for tropical writing inspiration. Dates, locations and times to be announced on the PIG TALES Writing Competition website, so stay tuned.
