Time to clean out your children's book shelves. Set aside the GOOD CONDITION but unwanted books for the annual Read Across America Book Swap the week of May 4th-8th. Just in time for summer reading!
How Book Swap works - during the mornings of May 4th - 6th, students stop in the cafeteria before the last AM bell and receive a ticket for each donated book. During the mornings of May 7th and 8th, before the last AM bell, students are able to redeem their tickets for any book of their choice. Any books not selected will be donated to Norton Park and Powers Ferry Elementary schools. This is a fun cause to recycle books, get “new” free books in your children's hands to read and help another school at the same time.
We are unable to accept donations for books that are either preschool picture or word books, sticker, religious, Chick-fil-A or adult genre. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Rust or Dayna Teichman at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We had a total of 97 submissions to the Challenger Publishing program this year. Congratulations to every student who submitted a story and is now a published author! Each student who participated will receive a bound copy of his or her story to keep. Additionally, each story will be permanently kept in a hardbound book in the Mt. Bethel Learning Commons.
Individual stories will be distributed during the Authors’ Celebration in May:
Kindergarten-2nd grade will be held on May 11 and
Grades 3-5 will be held on May 14 at 7:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend this event.
Basic School Supplies are different from Pre-sale items. Basic School Supplies include items like pencils, crayons, paper, etc. You may purchase these supplies on your own or online through EPI. To order online, go to www.epipacks.com and enter the school ID: MOU175. This online option is a time saving convenience; PTA does not earn income from these orders. Drop off these supplies in your classroom at Meet & Greet on July 30th. The Basic School Supply list for you to print and shop on your own can be found at: mtbethel.blogs.com.
If ordering, EPI will ship supplies to your home the week of July 13th. EPI will take orders through June 26th.
